Welcome Bender joined the Department of Biological Chemistry in 1980, and was promoted to professor in 1987.  His work has focused on the molecular genetics of the bithorax complex in the fruit fly, D. melanogaster.

Heber Domingues joined the lab in 2008.  His prior research position was at the New England Primate Center.
